Moment Forum is a three-hour interactive performance installation using Anna Höstman’s piano solo Moment Variations (2008) to explore ideas of the musical moment. Moment Forum is divided into three separate modules that each involve one performer. The audience size is limited to one member.
The first segment explores conversation, welcoming rituals and engagement with the materials of the physical installation. Segment two brings together the audience member and a ‘player pianist’ to create a new composition built from tiny fragments of the score that lie in clusters throughout the space. The third segment returns to the play of conversation.
