“Lattice” is inspired by the work of Liang Shaoji (b. 1945), a conceptual artist who “sculpts time, life and nature” through the direct involvement of silkworms in all of the stages of their life cycles. “Lattice” was originally written for Ilana Waniuk and Cheryl Duvall of the Thin Edge New Music Collective.
